Cat-friendly hotels near me
There are many situations where you, as a cat parent, might want to bring your furry friend along for a trip. This could be if you are moving and need to stop at hotels along the road. You could also just want to bring your kitty along for the adventure! Regardless of your specific reason for wanting to travel with your furry friend, you are in luck! Over the years, hotels have become increasingly more pet friendly. Even more specifically, hotels are welcoming cats with open arms. There are so many different cat-friendly hotels all around the world! I am going to share all of the best tips and resources I have. I also hope that this article allows my human, Jeff, to take the hint that I need a vacation.
How to find cat-friendly hotels near you
The best way to find cat-friendly hotels near you is to search the world wide web! If you have a specific hotel in mind, you should check out this hotel’s website to find the information for their pet policy. Sometimes, hotels will charge an extra fee depending on the type of animal you bring or the weight of your pet. All this information is great to know ahead of time. Preventing hiccups on trips with furry friends is essential to reducing stress and making the trip fun for everyone!
The best hotel chains for pets
There are a few hotel chains that generally will allow bringing your furry friend along. Like I mentioned earlier, it’s important to look up this information ahead of time so there aren’t any surprises when you arrive at the hotel. Some of the hotel chains that are generally the most pet friendly are:
-
Red Roof Inn
-
Motel 6
-
Westin
-
Hilton
-
Kimpton
-
Four Seasons
-
Loews Hotels
Not all these hotels mentioned allow pets at each of their properties, so you will need to check with the specific property you are interested in to see if they are cat friendly. But it’s great to be aware of the brands known to be the best in the business! These hotels may charge a pet fee depending on the breed and size of your furry friend.
Cat-friendly hotels in Las Vegas
Viva Las Vegas! I have never been to Vegas, and to be honest, it seems a little extra for me. But our humans seem to love it there! So of course, to make them happy, we will oblige. Some of the best cat-friendly hotels here are The Westin Las Vegas Hotel & Spa, Candlewood Suites Las Vegas-Convention CTR Area, and Best Western Plus Las Vegas West. The Westin requires a non-refundable fee of $35 and allows up to two pets per room. Candlewood Suites requires a $50 fee for the first night of your stay and $20 each additional night that you stay with a maximum of $150.00 for your entire stay. Finally, The Best Western has a $10.00 pet rate per day per pet with a $100 per week maximum.
Cat-friendly hotels in Orlando
I would imagine there would be a lot of pet friendly hotels in Orlando, Florida. After all, their entire city revolves around that pesky mouse! The first cat-friendly hotels I am going to share are Home2 Suites by Hilton Orlando Airport, Residence Inn Orlando Lake Nona, and Holiday Inn Express & Suites Nearest Universal Orlando. Home2 Suites requires a $100 non-refundable fee to have your pet in your room. The Residence Inn allows a maximum of two pets in each room with a non-refundable $100 fee per stay. Finally, The Holiday Inn Express requires a $50 pet deposit per stay and a $10 fee for each night of the stay.
Cat-friendly hotels in Chicago
I haven’t been to Chicago either, but I have heard great things about their deep-dish pizza. Hmm, I’m sensing a theme here. Someone please tell my human he needs to take me more places! :-p But anyways, luckily, there are many cat-friendly hotels available in Chicago! Some of the hotels we found in Chicago are Home2 Suites by Hilton Chicago River North, Kimpton Hotel Monaco Chicago, and Candlewood Suites Chicago-O`Hare. The Home2 Suites has a $75 non-refundable fee for all furry friend guests. The Kimpton Hotel actually doesn’t charge a pet fee at all - which I think is pretty paw-some! The Candlewood Suites has a $15 fee for the first night of your stay and then a $10 fee for every additional night with a maximum of $150.
Tips for traveling with cats
Traveling with your furry friend can be so much fun! You can create memories in a new city with your best buddy. There are a few things to remember when you are traveling with your kitty. First of all, you want to make sure that you have all of the necessary items that they might need throughout the trip. This could be their collar, vaccination records, food, litter box, litter, toys, or any other item that may help them feel a little more comfortable on the journey. When you are traveling with your furry friend, planning ahead is key! Searching through some of the hotels I previously mentioned can be a great way to plan for your next getaway.
In my expert opinion, I think that cats make the very best travel companions. We are fun to be around and love going on adventures big and small! I hope that my tips for different cat-friendly hotels helped you out today. From my research, it seems that more hotels are allowing both dogs and cats at their properties! This is such great news for us cats. If you haven’t tried taking your kitty on an adventure yet, start small. You can start by staying at a hotel nearby, in case you need to go home at any point. Bringing some catnip and other forms of entertainment can help us to get acclimated with our surroundings. Just as much as humans need a vacation every now and then, we do too! Getting to spend one on one time with our humans is our favorite thing in the world! And getting to do it in a massive plush bed? Even better! I encourage you to take out your map and find somewhere new to explore. The rest is still un-kitten.
